Product database

The database in Acoustic Facts is filled with products from a variety of suppliers. All products are presented with acoustic data based on standardized measurements carried out in laboratories.

The purpose of the database is to create a quality-assured and independent platform. A common place, where architects and interior designers can choose suitable products for their projects. Both with regard to form and function.

In order for a product to end up in the database, it needs to go through a certification process. The certification ensures that the product is tested correctly so that the result really applies to the product as it is presented.

In the database, it is easy to compare the performance of products. For products used as surfaces, the sound absorption can be compared using the sound absorption factor or sound absorption class. For other types of products, such as desk screens, dividers, wall or ceiling-mounted absorbers, seating and lamps, the sound-absorbing properties can be compared using the N10-value.

If you are looking for products for a room with known dimensions, it is more efficient to compare products using the calculation tool. In that case you compare the number of needed products .

For existing rooms it is possible to measure the reverberation time in the room before the start of the project in order to then choose products and calculate the need. The measurement can be done using Acoustic Fact's own measurement app.
